Becky Sande

St. Michael-Albertville Softball 

Head Coach

Becky Sande is the varsity softball head coach at St. Michael-Albertville, where she has led the program for four years. In addition to her high school coaching experience, she spent eight years coaching with the MN Vortex and A’s club programs, helping develop athletes at the competitive youth level.

A former standout player, Sande played shortstop at the University of Minnesota Duluth from 2014 to 2018. Her collegiate career was highlighted by a senior season in which she earned All-American honors and helped lead her team to a Regional championship and a berth in the Super Regionals.

Under her leadership, St. Michael-Albertville has seen significant success. She was named Section Coach of the Year in both 2023 and 2024, guided her team to a State Tournament appearance in 2023, and led them to a fifth-place finish at State in 2024.

Sande’s coaching philosophy centers on competing with purpose, showing respect, preparing with intention, and focusing on the little things that make a big difference. She emphasizes doing everything with purpose both on and off the field.

Outside of coaching, Sande enjoys playing hockey, golfing, fishing, following Minnesota sports, walking her dog Ed, and spending time with her son, Brooks.
