Tim Jandro

Minnetonka Boys Golf Head Coach

Tim Jandro has been deeply connected to Minnetonka athletics for decades, bringing his passion, leadership, and competitive drive to both hockey and golf. A Minnetonka native, Tim played hockey for the Minnetonka Skippers from 1996 to 1997, serving as co-captain during his senior season. His love for sports extended beyond hockey—he went on to play college golf at Augsburg University and the University of St. Thomas, where he continued to develop his skills and leadership.

Now serving with the Minnetonka Varsity Golf program, Tim draws on more than 20 years of hockey experience to inspire athletes on and off the course. He emphasizes hard work, consistency, and accountability as core values of success. His coaching philosophy centers on three key principles:

  • Put in the Work: Consistency produces results. Show up every day ready to work.
  • Forget the Bad Shots: Don’t dwell on the past—focus on the next shot and what you can control.
  • Leave It Better: Your job is bigger than one season. Set the standard for the next group and leave the program stronger than you found it.

Under his guidance, Minnetonka Golf continues to foster a culture where everyone contributes, competes, and pushes each other to improve every day. Beyond the course, Tim is a devoted husband and father of four, balancing his family life with his unwavering commitment to mentoring young athletes.
