GARY AASEN

Boys Varsity Tennis Head Coach

Aasen has 32 years of coaching experience and is the Head Coach for Edina Boys Tennis. He played on the University of Minnesota Men’s Team, including the 1986 Big Ten Championship team, and has held several high school coaching positions. As a player, he represented Fridley in the State Tournament three times. He has led teams to 9 state team titles and coached 13 individual state champions. He is a member of both the Edina Hall of Fame as a coach and the Fridley Hall of Fame as a player and coach. His philosophy centers on daily growth for players and the team during practice.
