Carly Holden

Varsity Gymnastics Head Coach

Carly Holden is the head coach of the JV and Varsity Girls’ Gymnastics teams at Wayzata High School, where she has just completed her 16th year with the program. A dedicated and accomplished coach, Holden has built a reputation for excellence both in competition and in athlete development.

Prior to coaching at Wayzata, Holden spent five years coaching at various gymnastics clubs throughout the Twin Cities area. She also brings personal experience as a former high school gymnast in North Dakota, giving her a strong foundation in the sport.

Throughout her tenure, Holden has led her teams to significant success, including six Section Head Coach of the Year honors, seven section championships, seven state tournament appearances, and a State Championship victory in 2022. Her coaching philosophy emphasizes growth beyond results, as she encourages athletes to “find victory in the small things” both inside and outside the gym.

Outside of coaching, Holden is a proud parent to her 10-year-old daughter, who is also a competitive gymnast, further deepening her connection to the sport and its community.
