Boys Basketball Varsity Head Coach

Bryce Tesdahl serves as the Head Boys Basketball Coach at Minnetonka High School, bringing over 14 years of coaching experience and a proven record of success at multiple levels. Prior to his current role, he contributed to successful programs at East Ridge and New Prague, further developing his reputation as a dedicated and impactful leader.

A Minnesota native, Tesdahl played high school basketball at Crosby-Ironton before continuing his collegiate career at Bemidji State University. During his time at Bemidji State, he was part of a historic run that included a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Championship in 2012. He also helped lead the program to a State AA Runner-Up finish in 2008 and graduated as part of the winningest class in program history.

Tesdahl’s coaching achievements include being named Section 4AAAA Coach of the Year in 2019 and Section 2AAAA Coach of the Year in 2024. He reached a major milestone in 2024 when he guided Minnetonka to the Class AAAA State Championship, solidifying his standing as one of the top coaches in the state.

His coaching philosophy centers on building a strong foundation that positions student-athletes for success both on and off the court. He emphasizes the core values of effort, energy, and execution, while fostering accountability in every aspect of the program—from drills and practices to games and overall team culture. Tesdahl is committed to clear communication and motivation, ensuring that each player is supported in reaching their highest potential.

At Minnetonka, Tesdahl aims to create an environment where student-athletes grow not only as basketball players, but also as individuals, students, and community members. His program is built on the belief that hard work, consistency, and “sweat equity” will lead to success and pride for players, families, and the broader community.
