Jared Scribner
Varsity Alpine Ski Head Coach
Jared Scribner has served as the Head Coach of the Edina High School Alpine Ski program for the past ten years, leading both the boys and girls varsity and junior varsity teams. With roughly two decades of coaching experience across multiple clubs and high schools, Jared brings a deep understanding of ski racing, athlete development, and team leadership to the Edina program.
Before coaching, Jared competed extensively as a member of the United States Ski Association (USSA) and the International Ski Federation (FIS), as well as in Masters competitions. A Blaine High School alumnus, he was a standout competitor and team captain during his high school years. Today, Jared continues to contribute to the sport as the state coordinator for Team Minnesota Alpine.
Under his leadership, the Edina Alpine program has earned two state team championships—one for the boys in 2019 and one for the girls in 2021—along with an individual state champion in 2022. His teams have qualified for the state meet every year of his tenure, including five podium finishes.
Jared’s coaching philosophy emphasizes process over outcome, teamwork over individual achievement, and striving for excellence rather than perfection. He instills in his athletes the value of perseverance, integrity, and never giving up.
