JASON POTTS

Varsity Football Head Coach

Potts has 15 years of overall coaching experience and is currently the Varsity Head Coach at Edina, with previous coaching experience at Robbinsdale Cooper, Osseo Senior High, Augsburg University, and Robbinsdale Armstrong. A former running back and wide receiver at Augsburg University, he fondly remembers helping Robbinsdale Armstrong reach the state semifinals at the Metrodome. He has been named Section Coach of the Year the past two seasons, leading Edina to the Prep Bowl in 2023 and making back-to-back state tournament appearances for the first time in school history. His program focuses on helping young people reach their highest potential while growing as individuals, built on core values of positivity, maximum effort, and resilience. Married to his wife Angie for 11 years, they have two daughters and enjoy sports, cabin trips, and quality family time together.
