Robert DeWitt

Wayzata Baseball Head Coach

Robert DeWitt has served as the head coach of the Wayzata High School varsity baseball program since 2008. A former University of Minnesota pitcher, he competed for the Golden Gophers from 1996 to 2000. During his coaching career at Wayzata, he has helped lead the program to a state championship in 2016, a state consolation championship in 2017, and a third-place state finish in 2024. His teams have also won seven Lake Conference championships and five 6AAAA section championships, and he has earned Section Coach of the Year honors in 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2024, along with Minnesota AAAA Coach of the Year in 2024. DeWitt believes baseball teaches perseverance, determination, compassion, understanding, and equity, and he works to instill those values in his players.
