Heather Dietrich-Feigum

St. Michael-Albertville Gymnastics

Head Coach

With more than 30 years of coaching experience, Heather brings a lifetime of gymnastics knowledge, competitive experience, and a genuine passion for helping young athletes grow—both in and out of the gym.

Heather’s own gymnastics journey began at a young age, progressing from a young private club competitor to varsity gymnastics. She competed at the varsity level from grades 8–12, earning 5-time Conference Championship and 5-time Section Championships earning her 5-time State Meet competitor experiences.

Her coaching career began as a high school student, coaching in exchange for free gym time. That early opportunity grew into a lifelong love of coaching. Heather went on to run the St. Francis Community Education gymnastics program and to coach the St Francis high school team, where she guided multiple individual athletes to conference & section championships and state meet appearances. She took a few years off to see her mom Home & returned to coaching in the private club world for several years before she returned to scholastic gymnastics and has spent her most recent years coaching grades 7–12 at STMA. During that time, her teams have earned 4 Conference Championships and 5 Section Championships, resulting in 5 team trips to the state meet along with multiple individual athletes advancing to the state meet.

For Heather, gymnastics is about more than skills, routines, and medals. She coaches to help athletes become responsible, confident, and independent humans who will grow to be leaders; using what she calls “the best sport on the planet” to build them up with skills that last long after an athlete leaves the gym.
