Varsity Girls Volleyball Head Coach

Cornillez has 20 years of overall coaching experience, including 13 as a head coach. She is in her 9th year coaching at St. Michael-Albertville (STMA) and 7th season as Head Coach, with previous experience as Head Girls Coach at Kohala High School on the Big Island (5 years) and Head Boys Coach at Kahuku High School on Oahu (2 years). A Minnesota native, she grew up in Wayzata and finished her senior year at Robbinsdale Armstrong, setting records with her three younger sisters. She played collegiate volleyball at BYU–Hawaii, winning NAIA National Championships in 1996 and 1997 and finishing her senior season with an NCAA DII National Championship in 1999. She has also coached summer camps under BYU Men’s Canyon Volleyball Camps and Carl McGown. Named Section 8AAAA Coach of the Year in 2023, Cornillez is dedicated to inspiring and empowering young people to have integrity, a voice, and resilience through volleyball, carrying those values into all aspects of their lives. She is married to Brent Cornillez, Head Boys Volleyball Coach at STMA, and together they have three children.
