JARED ESSLER

Varsity Football Head Coach

Essler has coached varsity football for 20 years, including 15 as head coach at St. Michael-Albertville (STMA). His previous experience includes coaching at Maple Grove High School, Coon Rapids High School, and serving as an assistant at STMA. A former free safety and track sprinter at North Dakota State University (2000–2004), he led STMA to the 2015 Class 5A State Championship. The program’s guiding motto is “Win the Day.” His wife is a guidance counselor at STMA, and they have three children.
