Head Coach
Sean Fish returns for his 3rd season at STMA as Head Boys Varsity Hockey Coach, advancing the team to the section 8AA semi-finals during the 2025-26 season. Previously, Sean spent several very successful seasons at Orono High School, where he was Head Boys Varsity Coach from 2022-2024 and helped the team to 2 state tournament runs. Prior to that, he led the Orono Girls Varsity program from 2018-2022 and was named Girls Head Coach of the Year in 2022 after the team placed 3rd in the Class A state tournament. Before taking on head coaching roles, Sean was assistant coach for the STMA Boys High School team from 2014-2018, during which time they made their first ever trip to the state tournament. He also coached in the NAHL for 4 seasons with the Alaska Avalanche and then the Wichita Falls Wildcats, where he assisted over 60 players move on to college hockey. As a player, he grew up in Anoka, MN and captained the Tornados high school team to their first and only hockey state championship. After high school, Sean played 2 seasons for the Minnesota Blizzard (NAHL), then moved on to play collegiately at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, where he was a 2-year captain and ranks among the top 25 leading scorers in program history.
