Christine Myers

Varsity Gymnastics Head Coach

Christine Myers has been a dedicated leader in high school gymnastics for over two decades, currently serving as the head coach of the Minnetonka High School gymnastics program, where she has led athletes for the past 13 years. Prior to her time at Minnetonka, she coached for six years at Owatonna and two years at Lakeville South, building a strong foundation of experience and success across multiple programs.

Throughout her career, Myers has guided her teams and athletes to significant achievements, including a Section Championship in 2018 and a team appearance at the MSHSL State Tournament. Her athletes consistently excel at the highest levels, with multiple individual state qualifiers nearly every season. Among her standout gymnasts, Elena Cantwell earned recognition as an MSHSL Elite Gymnast, and Nicole Miller captured the 1989 MSHSL State Floor Championship.

Myers is committed to fostering a program centered on excellence, teamwork, and personal growth. Her coaching philosophy emphasizes skill development, character, and collaboration, while prioritizing athlete health, safety, and enjoyment of the sport. She believes competitive success is achieved through dedication and hard work, while also celebrating individual growth, effort, and achievement. Proper technique, progressive skill development, and a genuine love for gymnastics are at the core of her program.

Outside of coaching, Myers values family deeply. Her husband, Jack, serves as her assistant coach, and together they share a close-knit family that includes their three sons and two grandchildren.
