Girls Soccer Varsity Head Coach
Hopkins is in his 20th year coaching at Minnetonka High School. He previously served as head women’s soccer coach at the University of Wisconsin River Falls and youth director at Barrington Soccer Club. His coaching experience also includes four years with Henry Sibley Boys Soccer and assistant men’s coach at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. As a player, he was a 4-year all-conference and All-State athlete at Hastings High School and competed on the MN ODP State Team. He played in three NCAA Tournaments at Wisconsin Oshkosh, including a 3rd place finish in 1993, and remained undefeated at home during his collegiate career. Hopkins has led teams to two state championships (2013, 2018) and earned two State Large School Coach of the Year awards. His philosophy is to exceed the potential of every player on and off the field while providing an optimal soccer experience.
