Minnetonka Boys Track & Field Head Coach

James Finch is a dedicated educator and coach at Minnetonka High School, where he leads the boys Track & Field program. With 12 years of coaching experience, Finch has built a reputation for developing student-athletes who excel both on the track and in the classroom. His commitment to fostering growth extends beyond athletics, as he emphasizes preparation for the challenges of life after sports.

Prior to his current role, Finch coached middle school soccer for one year in Shakopee Public Schools, broadening his experience across multiple sports and age levels. His leadership and impact have been recognized with the Section 2AAA Coach of the Year award. Finch is passionate about creating meaningful athletic experiences and values the opportunity to guide students in building character, resilience, and lifelong skills.
