BLAKE TRULLINGER

Varsity Wrestling Head Coach

Blake Trullinger is the Head Wrestling Coach at Buffalo High School, bringing over 13 years of coaching experience and a lifelong commitment to the sport. His coaching journey includes three years as a volunteer coach at Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted and seven years as an assistant coach at Buffalo before stepping into his current leadership role.

Trullinger’s wrestling background is rooted in strong competitive success. He competed for Shawnee Mission Northwest High School in Kansas, where he was a three-time state qualifier, finishing third as a junior and capturing a state championship his senior year. He continued his athletic career at the United States Military Academy at West Point, wrestling for the Army Black Knights for two years.

As a coach, Trullinger is dedicated to more than just athletic performance. He emphasizes character development and strives to positively shape young student-athletes, helping them become meaningful contributors to their communities through the discipline and values learned in wrestling.

Outside of coaching, Blake enjoys spending time with his family. He has been married to his wife, Alicia, for 19 years, and together they have two sons, Bryant, who is in sixth grade, and Brayton, who is in kindergarten.
